How to Clean out your Wamail using Web Mail

1. Login: goto www.wamail.net and login with your username and password. Once you are logged in, go through these folders on the left side.

2. Delete Emails: To delete emails, check the box next to each email you want to delete, and hit the delete button. After that, refresh the page.

3. "Purge" The Trash Folder: You will then see the word "purge" next to the trash folder on the left hand side. Click on the word "purge", and that will dump everything that is in the trash. Pay close attention to the folders.

4. Check for a Spam Folder: If you have a folder called "Spam", that means that our server is moving messages marked "SPAM" to that folder, and storing them there. You may want to keep that from happening by setting up your account to delete spam messages automatically. Here is how to do that.

5. How to Delete Spam Automatically : This can save you a lot of time. First, log into your Wamail Administration page (User Management page). Go to www.wamail.net, but instead of logging in, click on the word "help" over the login.

This will take you to our FAQ page (here is a short cut: http://wamail.net/faq.html). From there, click on any of the links that say "here" in the current page, the links will take you to your User Management page. (Here is a shortcut: https://www.wamail.net:19638/webhost/services/virtualhosting/useradmin)

To login on that page, the first box is JUST your email username ONLY that is your username -BEFORE the "@" symbol, the second box is "www.wamail.net", and the last box is for your password. (REMEMBER THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME AS YOUR ALIAS…most common mistake people make is forgetting their user name, or confusing an alias with the real account “username”. So remember your user-name please!

To change your spam filter settings, click on "Spam Filtering". Here you can set up the filter to delete spam emails automatically, or move them to a blocked folder, or change the sensitivity of your spam filter settings.

6. Checking your usage quota: "How much space am I using?" :

Once you login at your Wamail Administration page (User Management page), click the link "View Usage Data". There you can see how much space you are using. We send out a Quota Warning Letter if your usage hits 80% of your allowed 20 Megs.

If you are trying to delete messages, and you get a "disk quota exceeded" error, first try purging your trash. If that doesn't work for you, try deleting a few messages at a time. If you still get the "disk quota exceeded" error, please call the office at (253)627-8000 so we can help you out.
