Cable Modem
Linksys Phone Adapter
Connecting modem to computer directly:
- Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the Ethernet (10/100/1000) port, and the other end into the ethernet port on your desktop/laptop
Connecting modem to router, and to computer:
- Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the Ethernet (10/100/1000) port, and the other end into the Internet or the WAN port on your wired/wireless router
- From the wired/wireless router, plug the ethernet cable into one of the ports labeled 1,2,3,4 and plug the other end into your desktop/laptop
Connecting modem to Phone Adapter (ATA) to computer:
- Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the Ethernet (10/100/1000) port, and the other end into the Internet port (blue label) on your Linksys phone adapter.
- From the Linksys phone adapter, plug the ethernet cable into the Ethernet port (yellow label) and plug the other end into your desktop/laptop
- Plug your corded/cordless phone into Phone 1
Connecting modem to Phone Adapter (ATA) to router, and to computer:
- Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the Ethernet (10/100/1000) port, and the other end into the Internet port (blue label) on your Linksys phone adapter.
- Plug your corded/cordless phone into Phone 1
- From the Linksys phone adapter, plug the ethernet cable into the Ethernet port (yellow label) and plug the other end into the Internet or WAN port on your wired/wireless router
- From the wired/wireless router, plug the ethernet cable into one of the ports labeled 1,2,3,4 and plug the other end into your desktop/laptop
